Core responsibilities
The intervention teacher will lead impactful small group instruction using push-In and pull-Out strategies to support tier 2 and tier 3 students, including planning and leading special education teacher support services (Setss) sessions as required by ieps. Additionally, the role involves setting clear expectations, building a culturally sustaining community, and using data to modify and differentiate instruction for individual learners.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and prior teaching experience, along with being in the process of earning or having already earned a new york teaching license certification. The role requires demonstrating deep knowledge of content and effective pedagogy while actively engaging an intentionally diverse student body.
