What you'll do

  • Be a role model for
  • YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Plan and lead team practices and matches, teach fundamentals, skills, and sportsmanship in a fun and safe environment. Able to communicate clearly, uphold the league rules, able to mentor athletes, A background check will be conducted. No experience is required but must have knowledge of the games and rules.

  • Management: Plan, organize, and conduct practices and games, emphasizing skill development and fun.

  • Instruction: Teach basic volleyball techniques (serving, passing, setting, hitting) and game strategies.

  • Ethics: Maintain a safe environment, follow all league rules, and promote positive sportsmanship.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary contact for players, conducting necessary meetings and communicating schedules.
  • Mentorship: Act as a positive role model for players, focusing on character development over winning

What you'll need

  • Minimum
  • Age: 18
  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of volleyball rules and techniques.
  • Passion: Strong desire to teach the sport.
  • Dependability: Ability to attend scheduled practices and games (3-4 hours per week)
