Lifeguard Weekends (Oshkosh Downtown YMCA)

Lifeguards are responsible for keeping patrons safe by preventing and responding to any aquatic emergencies that may occur. They also interact with patrons of all ages regarding aquatic safety and education.

Certification is required to work as a lifeguard, although free training is offered if one is not current, and training for swim lessons is also available. Candidates must possess strong swimming ability, a desire to work with people of all ages, and good customer service skills.
