SY26-27 High School Literacy Learning Specialist

The specialist will design and deliver culturally responsive, engaging literacy lessons emphasizing academic rigor, critical thinking, and inclusive practices, while collaborating with instructional teams on modifications and interventions for diverse learners. Essential duties also include serving as a case manager for a small group of students, monitoring progress, communicating with families, and writing individualized education programs (Ieps).

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and prior teaching experience, along with working towards or having already obtained a new york teaching license certification. The role requires an educator grounded in an equity-Driven approach following international baccalaureate principles.
