Summer Day Camp Counselor (Gloucester)

The day camp counselor is responsible for the general safety and supervision of a small group of campers, identifying and meeting individual camper needs while carrying out camp program objectives. This includes planning and implementing culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate program activities consistent with ymca core values.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and typically require a high school diploma or equivalent, with one or more years of college preferred, along with previous experience working with children. Required certifications include cpr, first aid, aed, and child abuse prevention training, alongside possessing good character traits like patience and adaptability.
