Core responsibilities
The behavior technician will work one-On-One with autistic children applying applied behavior analysis (Aba) therapy to foster social skills, assist with daily living tasks like grooming and toilet training, and manage challenging behaviors. Responsibilities also include participating in data collection, training, and collaborating with the team of behavior analysts.
Requirements summary
A high school diploma is required, though a bachelor's degree in child development or psychology is preferred, along with prior experience working with children in a clinical, school, or daycare setting. Candidates must obtain registered behavior technician (Rbt) certification within six months and complete cpr heartsaver training within 60 days of starting.
