Behavior Support Specialist

The specialist collaborates with various staff to address developmental and behavioral concerns in children aged 0-5 enrolled in early head start and head start programs. Key duties include gathering data, assessing needs, formulating appropriate interventions, and creating/Implementing behavior intervention plans (Bips) as part of a multidisciplinary team.

A bachelor's degree in a related field such as psychology or education is required, along with experience in general and special education settings and knowledge of idea. Candidates must be willing to work with challenging behaviors and possess or be pursuing bcba certification, with knowledge of aba and cpi required within three months of hire.
