Radiology Student Technologist Extern – Southside Medical Center

The radiology student technologist works under the direction of a registered radiologic technologist, focusing on applying diagnostic imaging skills safely and effectively using ionizing radiation in diagnostic radiology. Essential functions include assisting with reviewing patient information for radiographic exams and providing physical assistance and escorting patients to and from the radiology department.

Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited radiology program, have completed one year of school with a minimum gpa of 2.5, and possess or be working towards a bls certification. A state limited x-Ray machine operator license is preferred unless state regulations mandate otherwise.
