Core responsibilities
The nurse home visitor provides coaching and care to first-Time expectant clients through home visits during pregnancy until the child reaches age two, developing therapeutic relationships using client-Centered and strengths-Based approaches. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of 25 or more clients, assessing physical and emotional needs, formulating nursing diagnoses, and coordinating access to community resources.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess an associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing and hold or be eligible for an indiana registered nurse license, along with having a valid driver's license and current cpr certification. Essential competencies include client engagement, self-Reflection, building collaborative relationships, technical knowledge of g suite/Ms office, strong communication, adaptability, teamwork, and critical thinking.
