Summer Camp

Position Summary

Counselors at LIONS Camp create a safe, engaging, and positive environment for campers. Responsibilities

Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times Lead and assist with daily camp activities (games, sports, arts, STEM, climbing, etc.) Encourage participation, inclusion, and positive behavior Support campers in building confidence and friendships Communicate effectively with fellow staff and camp leadership Serve as a positive role model aligned with LIONS Camp values

Qualifications

Experience working with children preferred Responsible, energetic, and dependable Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to maintain a safe and supportive camp environment

Work Authorization Requirements

Clear the Department of Justice background screening (Livescan) Authorized to work in the United States (I-9) Provide health (TB) clearance (an update is expected every four years)

Physical Requirements

Demonstrate normal depth perception Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, operate standard office equipment, and use a telephone ● See and read a computer screen and printed matter with or without vision aids Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone with or without auditory aides
