Youth Counselor

The counselor is responsible for the wellbeing and safety of a group of participating youth throughout program hours, delivering academic, enrichment, recreational, and leadership development programming within a positive youth development context. Duties include providing academic support in literacy and stem, leading skill-Building activities, attending required meetings, responding to emergencies, and facilitating light cleaning and supply distribution.

A high school diploma or ged along with at least two years of experience in direct afterschool program delivery is required, though a college diploma is preferred. Candidates must possess a high energy, dynamic personality, a genuine passion for youth, and the physical ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs as needed.
