Preschool Assistant Teacher. Full Time, Full Year

The preschool assistant teacher is responsible for teaching infants and toddlers, assisting the lead teacher with an engaging, theme-Based curriculum, and ensuring the overall supervision of daily activities. This role involves maintaining health and safety standards per head start performance standards and planning, implementing, and assessing children’s developmental needs.

A minimum requirement for this position is having a child development associate (Cda) credential or an associate’s degree in early childhood education or child development for ages birth to 5 years. Preferred qualifications include an associate's degree in early childhood education/Child development or a related field along with one to two years of teaching experience.
