March 4, 2026 Title: Part-Time Nursing Tutor

Description

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of the Student Success Center, the Nursing Tutor will work closely with students enrolled in the School of Nursing, to offer them academic assistance and promote their development into confident, independent learners. Operating remotely via Zoom and Google Meet, professional tutors are responsible for managing and directing their own tutoring appointments, assisting with academic programming as needed, and serving as models for collegiate scholarship and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Assist students with questions related to assignments, studying tips, or course material Offer guidance on effective strategies to develop a student’s learning style Manage an independent schedule of appointments and ensure student check-in Complete Appointment Reports after every tutoring appointment Submit accurate time cards and related materials in a timely manner Refer students to appropriate campus resources when applicable Participate in significant college wide events such as Welcome Weekend, True Blue Weekend, and Commencement Weekend As a representative of the College, expected to always comport themselves in a professional manner, both on and off campus Comply with all applicable College, Federal, State, local, and associational laws, rules and regulations Other duties as assigned and commensurate with the position
