The extern will assist patients with transfers and positioning, support therapists during treatment activities, and maintain a clean and orderly department. They will also participate in infection control procedures and assist with patient-Related activities as outlined in the state practice act.

Candidates must be current students accepted into an occupational therapy, speech-Language pathology, or physical therapy program. There are no additional specific educational requirements mentioned.
