Public Safety Officer I

The public safety officer patrols and monitors campus grounds to ensure the security of students, faculty, staff, and visitors, while also assisting with emergency responses during incidents. Responsibilities include identifying suspicious activity, addressing disturbances, documenting security incidents thoroughly, and providing customer service and information to campus community members.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged along with one year of relevant experience and a valid nys security guard license. The role requires the ability to remain calm under pressure, assess security threats quickly, and perform duties within a 24/7 operation, often involving afternoon or overnight shifts.
