Summary of the Job

The Case Aide is responsible for providing case support to case managers, serving as a resource for school and families and providing additional support for youth in assigned program. The Case Aide provides case support for HSPs who carry primary case management responsibilities. The Case Aide should be committed to Sanctuary practice utilizing tools that reinforce our shared language to create a trauma-responsive culture.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining client case record to include intake documentation, service plan and all other required documentation on time and accurately. Assist in maintaining case records and other required documentation to assure full compliance with agency, licensing, accreditation, and contract requirements. Effectively utilize computer software systems used by the agency, program, and State to support client records and requirements. (data entry and reports of daily and weekly documentation for clients) Provide local transport support for family visits, court, medical or other appointments. Assist in implementing a plan to support client in achieving goals of treatment plan. Provide intake support following agreed procedures and standards. Provide all required documentation for assigned duties, meeting deadlines for required reports. Provide support to Program Coordinator/HSP and Youth Care Workers, filling in as needed. Utilize personal safety plan for managing emotions and interactions with staff and clients. Maintain a supportive caseload as assigned by the agency. Prepare/pull various reports as requested such as census, etc. Assist with completing program weekly schedules. Assist with development and maintenance of Medication Administration Records May be assigned on-call duties.

  • Responsibilities: Advocate on behalf of clients and program development. Participate as member of multi-disciplinary team. Learn and develop appropriate childcare and case management skills. Engage families/individuals in a supportive and safe manner. Represent agency favorably at all times. Provide supervision of clients as assigned. Participate in agency PQI program. May participate in Sanctuary Core Team Assist with collection information and document incident reports. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

At least 21 years of age. Bachelor’s degree (from an accredited school) in social work, psychology, education counseling or working toward Bachelor’s degree with two years’ experience in the field of childcare. Possess the ability, flexibility, and maturity to render the duties and responsibilities required of this position. Problem solving ability; able to develop and implement procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in agency required computer skills. Adequate training or experience to demonstrate the possessions of knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties and tasks assigned to this position. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ongoing Qualifications: Agree to abide by all the policies, rules, guidelines and regulations of the Georgia Baptist Children's Homes and Family Ministries, Inc. Exhibit tactfulness and good judgment in dealing with people. Familiar with traditional Baptist tenets, customs and practices and shall maintain a compatible lifestyle. Meet all employee guidelines and qualifications as outlined by GBCH & FM, license, contracts, and accreditation. Have the ability to work in partnership with other members in a team approach. Arrive to work on time and as scheduled. Achieve and accomplish annual goals assigned by supervisor or provide acceptable documentation as to why goals were not met. Complete required staff development hours within the program including 24 hours in childcare related training, current CPR, 1st Aid and approved emergency safety intervention training.
