Core responsibilities
The direct care professional provides a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment for program participants, teaching them attainable goals related to social behavior, daily living skills, and education. Essential functions include constant supervision during activities, facilitating skill-Building groups, monitoring daily living skills, and managing basic medical concerns and medication observation.
Requirements summary
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent plus 1-3 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree in social sciences or a related field, is required. Candidates must possess strong organizational and people skills, the ability to work ethically with privileged information, and must maintain a valid nys driver's license.
