Adjunct Faculty instructors at College of DuPage are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as, face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction. Required Qualifications: Minimum of a Master’s degree in English/Rhet/Comp or a Master’s degree in related discipline plus 18 semester hours of graduate credit in English/Rhet/Comp is required. Experience teaching learners with varying literacy needs is a plus. We are seeking instructors to teach English 1101, English 1102, and our co-requisite English 1101 support model at all points during the day. Instructors who teach the co-requisite model earn a 1-hour stipend to participate in bi-weekly pedagogical discussions. Daytime and evening in-person classes, on main campus/Glen Ellyn, IL Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred. Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online required. These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments. A minimum of a Master's degree in Rhetoric/Composition with relevant experience or coursework in Neurodiversity, Literacy, Special Education, or ELL/ESL is required; alternatively, a Master's in Literacy, Special Education, or ELL/ESL with 18 graduate credits in Rhet/Comp is acceptable. College teaching experience is required, and community college teaching experience is preferred.
