Special Education Support Staff Employment Type: Full-Time

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking reliable, patient, and empathetic individuals who have experience working with children or young adults and can foster positive relationships. Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency are essential.

What You’ll Do

Support students in achieving academic, social, and behavioral goals. Assist with community outings and school-based activities. Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) and Individual Education Programs (IEP) as needed. Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with staff and students. Participate in physical activities and assist with lifting materials (up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 40 lbs).

Requirements

Minimum age of 19 years Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance Ability to pass State and Federal background checks CPR/First Aid and MANDT certification (training provided if needed) Physical ability for frequent walking, standing, and lifting Ability to read computer screens, hear speech at normal levels, and communicate clearly Commitment to inclusivity and willingness to accommodate diverse needs
