Assistant Recreation Coordinator

This role involves supporting the coordination of girls on the run and ymca recreation programs, including managing participant rosters, assisting with promotion, and ensuring safe, inclusive environments for youth activities. Key duties also include recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers, as well as assisting with summer camp planning and logistics.

Candidates must have a passion for youth development, a strong understanding of empowerment and social-Emotional learning, and previous direct experience working with youth. Required qualifications include excellent organizational and communication skills, the ability to adapt quickly, and current cpr/First aid/Aed/Bloodborne pathogens/Child abuse prevention certifications or the ability to obtain them.
