Washington school-age care roles stay competitive

In Washington, school-age care counselor roles are often driven by steady demand from after-school and child care programs serving children ages 5-12. These positions can be competitive because employers typically look for candidates who are at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, and prefer prior experience in recreation or childcare, with some DCYF requirements completed after hire. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits here to save research time, then confirm your experience with school-age groups in your application.
