The Social Worker is responsible for collaborating with families, counselors, and teachers to remove barriers impacting student learning, focusing on improving social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes. Specific duties include conducting assessments, participating in school-wide prevention initiatives, conducting home visits when necessary, and acting as a liaison with community agencies.
Candidates must possess Florida certification in School Social Work (grades PK-12) and hold a Bachelor's Degree along with a relevant Master's degree to meet certification standards. Highly preferred qualifications include two or more years of school-based K-12 social work experience building systems or two or more years of K-12 teaching experience with proven high achievement.
Success in this role is measured by improving student social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes and acting as a liaison with community agencies to ensure services.
This role reports directly to the Assistant Principal of Operations and works regionally with the Manager of Student Support Services. The schedule mirrors the school staff hours, and this is a year-round position. This role is available at KIPP BOLD CITY HIGH SCHOOL.
