Officiate youth sports games in accordance with YMCA policies and sport-specific rules. Teach basic game skills, encourage good sportsmanship, and maintain a fun, safe environment. Promote a positive and respectful attitude Communicate with participants and parents Inspect play areas for safety, enforce rules, and respond appropriately to injuries or emergencies. Serve as a visible leader, role model, and resource for players, families, and volunteers.
Skills & Experience: Knowledge of youth sports rules and fundamentals (soccer, basketball, flag football, volleyball, etc.). Experience working with children or in a youth sports setting preferred. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to remain calm, fair, and professional in all game-day situations. Certifications (required within 60 days of hire): CPR/AED and First Aid Certification Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry equipment regularly. Active, on-your-feet role—must be able to move easily around sports fields or courts.
