Summer Swim Instructor

Swim instructors are responsible for providing swimming instruction to students across various ages and abilities, following the ymca swim lesson program curriculum. A critical part of the role involves building positive relationships with students and their parents through regular communication regarding progress and concerns.

Ideal candidates should be at least 15 years old and able to work 2 or more days per week, demonstrating knowledge of and ability to teach proper swim strokes and skills. While previous teaching experience is not required, excellent organizational and communication skills, patience, and creativity are necessary, with cpr/Aed/First aid certification required within 60 days of hire.
