Job description
Overview Fasman Yeshiva High School is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated High School Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a proven ability to inspire and engage students at all levels of mathematics, with a particular focus on algebra, geometry, and algebra 2/trig. We are looking for someone who can create an inclusive and positive learning environment where students can develop their mathematical skills and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities: Teach and plan lessons for Geometry and Algebra 1 courses for high school students. Develop and implement engaging and interactive classroom activities and assessments to support student learning. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, including those with lower academic ability. Use assessment data to inform and adjust teaching practices, set individual student goals, and provide targeted support. Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mathematics education. Provide support and guidance to students outside of class as needed. Foster a positive and supportive classroom culture that encourages risk-taking and promotes student engagement and success. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievement.

Education and Training: Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field At least 3 years of successful teaching experience at the high school level Strong knowledge of algebra, geometry, and algebra 2/trig Ability to differentiate instruction and design engaging lessons for all levels of mathematical ability Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds at times.
