Job description

26/27 School Year | $35-$40/hour | Full-Time | North Chicago, IL | State SLPA License Required

About the Role

Provide speech and language therapy services to students in K–12 school settings under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). You'll support the implementation of treatment plans, deliver direct therapy, and help students build the communication skills they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond. This role collaborates closely with SLPs, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes.

What You'll Do: · Provide direct speech therapy services to students aligned with IEP goals under the supervision of an SLP

· Assist in implementing treatment plans and documenting student progress toward established goals

· Support the SLP in conducting screenings, data collection, and informal assessments

· Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to reinforce communication strategies across environments

· Maintain accurate and compliant therapy notes, service logs, and progress documentation

· Prepare therapy materials and adapt activities to meet individual student needs

· Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions as appropriate

What We're Looking For

Must Have: · Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field

· Current SLPA license or certification in the state where services are delivered (or eligibility to obtain)

· DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance

· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication

Preferred: · One year of experience in a school or pediatric setting

· Familiarity with IEP processes and special education services

· Knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based intervention strategies

· Experience supporting diverse student populations
