First-Year Experience Academic Advisor

The academic advisor will collaborate with faculty and staff to guide first-Year college students in their development, helping them achieve academic and career goals by fostering good study habits and tracking progress. Key duties include course selection assistance, identifying student strengths, coordinating workshops, managing alert data, and supporting new student orientation and registration.

A minimum requirement for this position is a bachelor's degree in education or a related field, with preference given to candidates possessing additional education or experience in education or counseling. Essential qualities include a desire to help students succeed, strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to use office technology effectively.
