Luke School is seeking an experienced part-time Physical Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.
The Physical Education Teacher will provide grade school students a comprehensive academic and physical experience using the Archdiocesan and State of Maryland Physical Education curriculum.
She/he is responsible for creating a learning environment that fosters, promotes, and develops an understanding of the relationship of healthy body function exercise, and athletics.
This is a part-time position working 16 hours per week.
Essential Functions
Maintains high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teaching of the Catholic Church.
Plans and implements instructional programs with clear objectives in line with the Archdiocese of Baltimore and State of Maryland Standards.
Creates an instructional environment conducive to learning.
Maintains accurate and complete records of students' progress and development, in a timely manner.
Teach physical fitness, individual and team sports, utilizing appropriate learning activities.
Motivate each student to cultivate physical fitness, and appropriate social and emotional adjustment that discovers and develop talents of students in physical achievement.
Communicates standards, achievements, and deficiencies to students and parents through email, phone calls, conferences, and electronic grade book.
Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students both in and outside of the classroom.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
MSDE Certification or the willingness to obtain certification, required.
Classroom teaching experience preferred.
Proficient in using a variety of technology.

$15,000 - $20,000, Annualized
