  • Excellence Community Schools (ECS) is a K-8 Charter Management Organization (CMO) serving communities in the Bronx, NY, and Stamford, CT. Our approach is built on a nationally recognized model that began with our flagship school, the Bronx Charter School for Excellence, a proud recipient of the National Blue Ribbon Schools Award. Our Mission and Vision Our schools prepare young scholars to compete for admission to and succeed in top public, private, and parochial high schools by cultivating their intellectual, artistic, social, emotional, and ethical development. We accomplish this by offering a challenging and rigorous academic curriculum, which at the earliest grades of has an eye towards college preparation. Responsibilities

  • Plans and teaches collaboratively with the grade-level team to implement best practices that support the success of all learners.
  • Plans purposefully to provide students with meaningful opportunities to construct knowledge and deepen understanding of new concepts.
  • Applies high-quality curriculum resources that promote student growth and align with required educational expectations.
  • Introduces new ideas and concepts using varied instructional strategies, inspiring and guiding students to explore, express, and develop their own thinking.
  • Administers, collects, and analyzes qualitative and quantitative data from a range of student assessments.
