Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the grade-level team to support effective instructional practices that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Assists in planning and preparing purposeful learning activities that help students build understanding of new concepts.
  • Supports the delivery of instruction using a variety of strategies to engage students, spark curiosity, and encourage exploration and expression.
  • Helps administer, collect, and organize qualitative and quantitative student data from various assessments.
  • Builds positive relationships with students and families through consistent communication about progress and ways to support learning at home.
  • Participates in school-wide assessments to help identify student needs and inform instruction.
  • Supervises students during lunch, recess, and other non-instructional periods.
  • Provides classroom coverage and instructional support as needed.
  • Offers additional assistance to the school community as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
