The Spanish Teacher will be responsible for teaching grades 9th-12th, including Spanish I and II, by preparing lessons and providing developmentally appropriate, standards-based instruction to develop competent language and culture learners. JCS is seeking an inspiring Spanish Teacher to join our team. The Spanish Teacher's responsibilities include teaching grades 9th-12th (including Spanish I and II), preparing lessons, and providing developmentally appropriate and standards-based instruction.
To be successful as a Spanish Teacher, one should develop students to be competent language and culture learners. We seek the best fit candidate for our community. Teachers are expected to assist with various duties to ensure safety and supervision of students.
The Spanish Teacher should be able to encourage community and cultural awareness among students through a biblical worldview guided by the understanding that as image bearers of a creative and loving God, we should glorify and praise Him by being in community with others.
Attend after school divisional meetings, all-school meetings, and/or parent conferences as scheduled.

Be fluent, have a strong knowledge of Spanish grammar and vocabulary, and have training in second language instruction.

Bachelor’s Degree in education or Spanish, a teaching certificate or credential or equivalent successful experience teaching in classroom settings
Preferred: Valid teacher’s certification from FLDOE
