Special Education Teacher (1-6)

The teacher will deliver individualized academic and behavioral instruction to students with disabilities, ensuring alignment with nysed standards and ieps within a structured 6:1:1 classroom environment. Key duties include developing and implementing standards-Aligned lessons, monitoring student progress through data collection, and collaborating with support staff and families.

Candidates must possess current new york state certification in special education for the appropriate grade level, or be actively pursuing certification as a condition of future employment. A valid new york state driver's license is also required, along with the ability to maintain a calm presence and utilize physical restraints after tci training.
