Special Education Teacher - Propel Homestead

The special education teacher is responsible for collaborating with administrators and staff to lead special education students toward learning success by developing, modifying, providing, and assessing specialized instruction aligned with pennsylvania common core standards. Essential duties include designing coherent instruction, managing student behavior, implementing iep supports, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with policies.

Candidates must possess a valid pa certification in special education for the relevant grade levels and demonstrate knowledge of special education laws, assessment practices, and methods for maximizing educational experiences for students with special needs. Strong instructional skills, classroom management, high personal organization, and the ability to utilize data for differentiation are also required.
