This position involves assuming classroom teaching responsibilities and providing clinical supervision for students enrolled in both graduate and undergraduate nursing programs. The role is tenure track and requires active participation in the academic functions of the Kinney College of Nursing & Health Professions.
Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in nursing, although applicants with ABD status will be considered if the degree is completed by the end of their first year of employment. All applicants are required to hold a valid and unencumbered Indiana (or compact) RN license and a valid Driver's License for off-campus site transportation.

The University of Southern Indiana seeks applications for a 10-month Assistant Professor of Nursing. The Assistant Professor of Nursing position is tenure track. Position begins August 1, 2026 or when filled.
This position will assume classroom teaching responsibilities as well as clinical supervision of students in the graduate and undergraduate nursing programs.
About the College
The faculty in the Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions work collaboratively with nursing and other health care professional faculty. The support for faculty’s teaching, practice and scholarship activities are substantially enhanced through grants and other extramural funding. A cutting-edge Clinical Simulation Center is used to enhance student learning and support innovative teaching.
The college, in addition to university support, has a four-person technology team that supports the online and in-classroom teaching for the MSN and DNP program courses. A dedicated Advising Center for Kinney College provides support for student advising and related activities. All programs are fully accredited and have an exemplary record of grant award successes.
