Advocate Counselor (Summer Camp)

The advocate counselor provides direct support to campers, ensuring their safety, well-Being, and inclusion by developing and implementing individualized recreation plans in collaboration with the advocate coordinator. They actively promote inclusion, adapt group activities, and facilitate positive peer interactions throughout the camp.

Candidates must be 18 years or older and possess prior experience working with children, especially those needing additional support, though prior camp staff experience or relevant secondary education is preferred. Essential qualities include empathy, patience, a willingness to learn behavior management techniques, and the physical ability to manage demanding outdoor work conditions.
