Writing Consultant - UAA Learning Commons Writing Center

Consultants will work closely with students, faculty, and administrators to help students develop into capable and successful writers across various disciplines. Responsibilities include conducting one-On-One consultations and occasionally delivering presentations, leading workshops, or supporting group-Learning programs.

Applicants must maintain a minimum cumulative gpa of 2.0 and a 3.0 average in writing/English coursework, having successfully completed a specified introductory writing composition course or equivalent. Students must also be enrolled in at least six credit hours during the semester of employment to qualify for student employment.
