Core responsibilities

Interns will co-Teach classes focused on developing scholars’ social emotional skills, including lesson preparation, and provide direct mentorship through academic and social emotional support during various times of the day. Responsibilities also include participating in weekly professional development meetings, planning and leading lessons, and managing scholar safety during daily bus duty.

Requirements summary

Candidates must have completed at least one year of college by the start of the internship. Ideal candidates possess prior experience working with children or in an educational setting, and ideally have a background in social work, psychology, or community psychology, along with a basic understanding of restorative justice.
