Core responsibilities
The specialist is responsible for delivering high-Quality pre-Employment transition services (Pre-Ets) to students and career development services to adults who are blind or visually impaired, combining curriculum delivery, assistive technology support, and stakeholder coordination. Key duties include facilitating workshops, creating accessible curriculum, onboarding candidates, and maintaining accurate records of participant progress and interactions.
Requirements summary
Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, along with 1-2 years of experience in youth development or workforce training, preferably with individuals with disabilities. Proven ability to create engaging, accessible curriculum, build partnerships, and manage projects is essential, along with familiarity with assistive technologies.
