Job description

Status: Part Time Hourly

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Position

  • This is an hourly, part-time position providing mentorship and advocacy for youth and families throughout Presque Isle
  • The ideal candidate will be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in community, school, and home settings.
  • The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
  • All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
  • This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, mileage ($0.56/mile), and activity reimbursement.

Hourly Rate: $21 per hour

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Prior experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Experience using an electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus
  • Bi-Lingual/Spanish Speaking is a plus
  • Reliable transportation with current auto coverage and valid driver's license is a requirement.
