About the role

Provide mentorship and direct advocacy services to youth aged 12-21 and their families using a strength-based wrap around model. Responsibilities include initiating, planning, and implementing service plans across community, school, and home settings.

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Position

This is an hourly, part-time position providing mentorship and advocacy for youth and families throughout Presque Isle

The ideal candidate will be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in community, school, and home settings.

The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.

All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.

This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, mileage ($0.56/mile), and activity reimbursement.

Hourly Rate: $21 per hour

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Prior experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Experience using an electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus
  • Bi-Lingual/Spanish Speaking is a plus
  • Reliable transportation with current auto coverage and valid driver's license is a requirement.
