School Nurse (RN) - Per Diem

This registered nurse (Rn) will oversee healthcare services for individuals at vanderheyden ocfs programs, responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating their healthcare needs according to state regulations and agency policies. Key duties include completing admission assessments, developing nursing care plans, managing medication administration records, and collaborating with clinical teams and direct care staff.

Candidates must possess a license and registration to practice nursing in new york state and be willing to work 19 hours per week, including participation in an on-Call system. Preferred experience includes providing health services in a school setting, and the role requires physical abilities such as lifting 25 pounds and standing/Running for moderate periods.
