Teacher Assistant, Head Start

The head start teacher assistant collaborates with the lead teacher to plan and execute the daily education program, ensuring all activities and the environment are developmentally appropriate and meet mandated standards. This role also involves assuming the lead teacher's duties when they are absent and fulfilling administrative tasks like documentation and monitoring attendance.

Candidates must possess an associate's degree in early childhood education (Ece) or child development (Cd), or 60 college semester hours with 15 ece/Cd credits, or an unrelated degree with a current preschool cda. A minimum of one year of experience in an early childhood or childcare program is required, along with specific certifications like cpr, first aid, and food handlers.
