Job Description

We are looking for an Associate Teacher to support the planning and implementation of a developmentally appropriate educational program in a nurturing, inclusive, and safe environment. Working under the direction of the Lead Teacher, the Associate Teacher assists in creating a positive learning experience that fosters the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of each child in the classroom. Responsibilities

Assists Lead Teacher in the development of weekly plans, and implements age appropriate curriculum (lesson plan) to nurture and stimulate all domains of children’s development in their care. Provide coverage and classroom support across assigned age groups and classrooms, including infant, toddler, preschool, or school-age programs Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and daily routines under the direction of Lead or Associate Teachers Supervise and engage children in activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment that adheres to licensing and health regulations Support transitions, meals, rest time, and outdoor activities as assigned Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and team members Follow all organizational and licensing policies and procedures Qualifications: 9 ECE required, 3 credit courses in Child Growth & Development for credits total One (1 ) year prior experience working with children required Ability to communicate with colleagues, children and families, listen well, and work effectively with others Understanding of child development, developmentally appropriate practice and positive behavior intervention and supports Meet minimum State of New Hampshire Child Care Licensing Unit rules for Associate Teachers Hours: Full-time, 40 hour position Monday - Friday with hours expected to primarily be 8:00-4:45, but subject to change based on program needs.

Compensation

  • $18.50 - $25, based off education and experience What’s in it for you?
