Surgical Specialist Nurse Practice

The nursing practice specialist provides support and direction for patient management and establishes standards for quality patient care, acting as a perioperative clinical resource and role model. Responsibilities include managing educational activities in surgical services, updating policies, and ensuring compliance with performance improvement plans and regulatory agencies.

Candidates must possess a california rn license and a current bls (Aha) certificate, along with a minimum of five years of operating room experience. Preferred qualifications include experience in education/Staff development and relevant certifications like cnor, ccrn, or cpan.
