Assistant Summer Camp Counselor

This role involves actively supervising an assigned group of children, encouraging participation in daily activities, and supporting the summer camp director in planning and implementing culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate program activities consistent with ymca values. The counselor must help maintain a safe, clean program site while modeling positive behavior for youth.

Applicants must be at least 15 years old and able to commit to the entire summer schedule from june 1 to august 21, 2026, including mandatory training in may 2026. Required abilities include supervising and playing with children in a pool setting, willingness to work outdoors, and successful completion of background checks and specific ymca training within 30 days of hire.
