Job description

Description We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated candidates to join our team for the summer! In this role, you will teach swim lessons to children, helping them develop water safety skills, improve technique, and build confidence in the water. This position is perfect for high school and college students, teachers, or anyone seeking a rewarding role with a flexible schedule for the summer.

Please note that seasonal shifts are week-long sessions, so you must be able to commit to the same shift every day for the week that you sign up for. Camp Lessons are held Monday-Friday, whereas Public Lessons are held Monday-Thursday and Saturday-Sunday.

There is a minimum work requirement for seasonal staff to work at least 4 week-long shifts, or at least 2 weekend days per month from June to August.

Duties and Responsibilities

Teach proper swimming technique in a safe, positive, and appropriate manner to various levels and age groups in accordance with the company's curriculum (We will train you!) Ability to demonstrate and explain skills, analyze and correct performance, minimize fear, and use appropriate teaching devices. Excellent communication skills with your team, leaders, and patrons. Complete swim certificates for swimmers in camp lessons Assist with pool setup, cleanup, and adherence to facility guidelines. Other duties as assigned. Requirements

Must be at least 15 years old Capable of managing your own schedule and communicating with management Clean background check Comfortable teaching outdoors and in water for at least 3 hours Must complete training requirements before your first shift, and/or no later than June 27th. (Training starts in May if you’re available) Friendly, patient, and energetic personality Reliable and punctual, with strong communication skills Some knowledge of all four swim strokes (training available) Must be able to work at least 4 week-long shifts, or at least 2 weekend days per month from June to August. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
