Swim Instructor- Summer

This position is responsible for teaching swim lessons following the ymca of the usa model, requiring instructors to be on deck early, prepared, and ensuring classes start and end on time for the entire session duration. Key duties include providing excellent member service, maintaining class safety and control, tracking student progress accurately, and adhering to all pool rules and emergency procedures.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old, though no prior experience is necessary, and must be physically and verbally capable of interacting with members and scanning the pool visually, sometimes lifting up to 50 lbs. Required training includes child abuse prevention and respect in the workplace, with cpr, first aid, o2, and ymca swim lessons (Ysl) being preferred or required certifications.
