Counselor

The counselor ensures the accurate completion of essential patient documentation, including treatment plans and progress notes, in compliance with federal and state standards. They provide direct patient care through orientation, crisis counseling, group sessions, and arranging necessary community referrals.

Minimum requirements vary significantly by counselor tier, ranging from an associate's degree with specific certifications (Like caac) for counselor i, up to a master's degree and advanced licensure (Like caadc, lcsw, lpc) for tier 3 counselors. Clinical experience and specific educational backgrounds in chemical dependency or related fields are often required or preferred.
