Swim Instructor/Pre-Comp Coach

This position is responsible for planning and teaching survival swim skills, stroke techniques, and water safety skills for class participants, incorporating starfish aquatic institute training and procedures. Duties include monitoring swimmers, observing and correcting errors, ensuring safety, maintaining records, and providing instruction according to chprsa policies.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a range of swimming techniques and possess good communication skills to instruct swimmers of differing skill levels. Required certifications include american red cross first aid and cpr for the professional rescuer, or willingness to obtain them within 60 days, and a starfish swimming instructor certification is preferred or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
