Swim Instructor

Swim instructors are responsible for providing instruction and leadership for swim lessons following ymca national aquatic program guidelines, which includes arriving early and maintaining professional relations with stakeholders. Essential duties also involve adhering to safety procedures, treating minor accidents, reporting unsafe conditions, and assisting with scheduling and substitution needs.

Candidates should be pursuing a high school diploma or ged and must be at least 16 years old, with prior aquatics experience preferred. Required qualifications include maintaining current certification and cpr, possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrating the ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
