Security

The security officer will assist in developing a positive, orderly learning environment, exercise good judgment during emergencies, and develop positive rapport with staff and students. Responsibilities also include creating and following protocols for safe student movement and monitoring behavior to prevent unsafe conditions.

Candidates must believe in the potential of low-Income students, be willing to work long hours, and maintain high expectations for performance while being flexible to changing priorities. Required qualifications include a high school degree or g.e.d., 1-2 years of security experience in an urban setting, and successfully passing a pre-Employment background check.
